Debbie’s Driving School originally opened in 1998 under the ownership of Debbie Decker but due to other priorities she closed in 2006. In 2009, her son, Jason Humby, moved home from Alberta and trained to be an certified instructor. Then in August 2010 he reopened Debbie’s Driving School under his ownership and operation. Jason is an experienced driver with years of experience not only driving class 5 vehicles but also driving class 1 and class 6 vehicles.
Our goal is to teach all new drivers how to become safe, responsible, defensive drivers. We use Today’s Driving Manual which is a textbook that is written especially for Canadian drivers along with computer animated videos. We know that it is not only important for drivers to know how to drive, but also to be familiar with their vehicles and basic car maintenance. That’s why we use demonstrations to show the new driver how to check the oil and other fluid levels, how to add fluids, how to check and change the fuses, how to change a tire, etc.
At Debbie’s Driving School we strive to provide quality, thorough, and interactive training that empowers students to drive with confidence and safety. It is our pleasure to serve Clarenville and surrounding areas and hope to hear from you soon.
